Flax Seeds ( Linum usitatissimmum): Nutritional composition and health benefits

Flax seeds are one of the potential oil packed with excellent amount nutrition and possess various health benefits. Interestingly, flax seeds' benefits mainly attributed to omega-3 fatty acids, lignans fiber they contain. It is used in different forms, such as whole flour. The flour bakery products provides nutty flavour, nutritional final product. Consumption this seed may lower both total LDL cholesterol because its low content saturated fat, high PUFA phytosterol content. Processing makes nutrients bioavailable. In review, composition flaxseed has been discussed.
